Job summary

Onward Education is partnering with a school district to hire a dedicated School Psychologist for the 2026-2027 school year. This onsite position supports K-12 students through evaluations, consultation, and intervention planning in collaboration with educators and families.

You will conduct psychoeducational assessments, participate in IEP processes, and provide guidance on student learning, behavior, and mental health needs within a supportive district team.

Qualifications

• Master's, Specialist (Ed.S.), or Doctoral degree in School Psychology from an accredited program.
• Valid School Psychologist certificate/approval/license for the state of the assignment.
• Experience conducting psychoeducational evaluations in a school setting preferred.
• Knowledge of IDEA, Section 504, special education eligibility, and IEP processes.
• Strong assessment, report-writing, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work effectively with students, families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Commitment to supporting the academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs of K-12 students.

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychoeducational evaluations, including cognitive, academic, behavioral, adaptive, and social-emotional assessments.
• Interpret assessment results and communicate findings effectively to parents/guardians, educators, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Participate in special education eligibility determinations and support the development of IEPs.
• Provide consultation to teachers, administrators, and families regarding student learning, behavior, and mental health needs.
• Support the implementation of evidence-based academic, behavioral, and social-emotional interventions.
• Conduct observations, data collection, and progress monitoring to support student success.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, IEP meetings, and manifestation determinations as needed.
• Assist with crisis intervention, threat assessment, and student support initiatives.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with regulations.
