Qualifications

• Completion of practicum or internship in an educational setting.

Responsibilities

• Consults with parents, staff, and outside agencies regarding psycho-educational needs.
• Conducts multifactored psychological assessments using standardized and non-standardized instruments.
• Supports building-level procedures to prevent educational failure and meet mental health needs.
• Compiles assessment results into MDT feedback and reports for students referred.
• Provides direct and indirect psychological interventions and counseling.
• Initiates referrals to other agencies when appropriate.
• Interprets board policies and relevant laws for program planning and services.
• Assists in developing training activities for staff and parents.
