Job summary

Orange County Public Schools seeks a paraprofessional to support teachers and students across assigned programs, including in-school suspension, bilingual education, and health screening. Responsibilities include monitoring student behavior, maintaining records, assisting with curriculum implementation, communicating with parents and staff, and providing instruction as directed by supervisors.

Requires an associate degree or 60 hours plus experience; ParaPro certification can substitute

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher; or at least sixty (60) semester hours from an accredited institution supplemented by experience in the assigned program.
• Strong administrative support skills and ability to communicate program goals and objectives.

Responsibilities

• Respond to internal and external customers in a timely, courteous manner representing OCPS.
• Provide assistance and support in assigned program (e.g., in-school suspension, bilingual education, health screening).
• Maintain attendance and student records, print and distribute reports, file documents.
• Monitor student behavior during program activities and enforce conduct.
• Assist teachers with curriculum development and implementation and with job placement coordination.
