Job summary

BrightBee is seeking a paraprofessional to support students in local schools. You may work 1:1 with a student or support a classroom alongside a teacher, with days varying but daily impact. The role offers flexible 2–5 days per week and a work window of 7:30am–3:30pm, ideal as a side hustle or steady income.

You will assist with learning, manage behavior using positive reinforcement, and collaborate closely with teachers and school staff to help students learn and grow.

Qualifications

• Must have 48 college credits.
• Experience working with students with severe disabilities.
• RBT experience is a plus.
• Bilingual in Spanish.

What You’ll Do

No two days are the same—but every day matters. We are currently partnered with Rocketship Public Schools. During your interview we will go into detail about what assignments are available at these sites. The more sites and assignment types you are open to working, the more your earning potential is

Before You Start

To keep students safe, you’ll need to:

• Pass a background check
• Follow safety and reporting guidelines
• Complete required school clearances which you are responsible for paying
  • Costs associated with the clearance process are the sole responsibility of the candidate, as this engagement is for an independent contractor role rather than a traditional employment position. Requirements vary by state but may include the cost of a background check, obtaining a copy of any college transcript you have, and the cost of completing Mandated Reporter training. The average cost of completing clearance in California for paraprofessional roles is between $288-$303.
