Job summary

BrightBee is seeking a Paraprofessional to support students in local schools, helping them learn, grow, and succeed. You may work 1:1 with a student or assist a classroom with a teacher.

The role offers flexible 2–5 days per week and noon-6pm shifts, making it suitable as a side hustle or steady weekly income. You’ll work with students, support positive behavior, assist during lunch and recess, and collaborate closely with teachers and staff.

Qualifications

• 48 college credits are required.
• Experience working with students with severe disabilities is essential.
• RBT experience is a plus.

What You’ll Do

As a BrightBee Paraprofessional, you’ll support students in local schools—helping them learn, grow, and succeed. You might work 1:1 with a student or support a classroom alongside a teacher. No two days are the same—but every day matters. We are currently partnered with the following school districts. During your interview we will go into detail about what assignments are available at these sites. The more sites and assignment types you are open to working, the more your earning potential is

Before You Start

To keep students safe, you’ll need to:

• Pass a background check
• Follow safety and reporting guidelines
• Complete required school clearances which you are responsible for paying.
  • Costs associated with the clearance process are the sole responsibility of the candidate, as this engagement is for an independent contractor role rather than a traditional employment position. Requirements vary by state but may include the cost of a background check, obtaining a copy of any college transcript you have, and the cost of completing Mandated Reporter training. The average cost of completing clearance in California for paraprofessional roles is between $288-$303.
