Job summary

VyTalent Solutions is seeking a local contract Orientation & Mobility (O&M) Specialist for the 2026-2027 school year in Broomall, PA. This school-based role offers full-time hours, a 34-week contract, and an opportunity to support visually impaired students in navigating campus and community environments.

The position requires ACVREP COMS certification and PA-state credentials, with a collaborative team approach and alignment to IEP goals.

Qualifications

• ACVREP Orientation & Mobility Certification (COMS) and valid PA state credentials required.
• Experience with school-based orientation and mobility services is preferred.
• Strong collaboration with teachers, families, and TVIs to support student success.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive orientation and mobility evaluations for students.
• Provide direct instruction in safe, independent travel in school, home, and community settings.
• Teach spatial orientation, cane skills, route planning, and environmental cues for visually impaired students.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and TVIs to support navigation and access in educational settings.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to progress reporting.
