Job summary

KIPP NYC is seeking a School Operations Manager for Brooklyn to oversee daily school operations, enrollment targets, and facility systems. The role reports to the Director of Operations and supervises the School Operations Administrator, ensuring health protocols and event logistics run smoothly.

The position emphasizes strong communication with staff and families, collaboration with the DOO on projects, and a proactive approach to operational excellence in a fast-paced, mission-driven NYC

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Highly organized and able to manage multiple tasks.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations like student arrival, attendance, transitions, lunch/recess, and dismissal.
• Foster relationships with staff, students, and families; respond to inquiries within 24–48 hours.
• Manage and supervise the School Operations Administrator (SOA) and monitor deadlines and goals.
• Monitor student health and safety, coordinate with the school nurse, and participate in emergency planning.
• Collaborate with the Director of Operations on special projects and ensure events and field trips run smoothly.
