Job summary

KIPP NYC Public Schools in New York City seeks a School Operations Manager to oversee daily operations across our schools, ensure enrollment targets are met, and keep facilities and technology in good working order.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the SOM will manage the School Operations Administrator, support student health and safety protocols, and coordinate events and field trips with accuracy and care.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills across diverse audiences.
• Minimum of 4 years of relevant experience in school operations or similar.
• Thrives in fast-paced, mission-driven environments.
• Highly organized with attention to detail and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily school operations including arrival, attendance, transitions, lunch/recess, and dismissal.
• Lead enrollment processes and ensure enrollment targets are met.
• Foster relationships with staff, students, and families; respond within 24-48 hours.
• Manage School Operations Administrator and conduct regular one-on-ones.
• Support student health, safety, and emergency readiness with the nurse and safety teams.
