Job summary

Ozark R-VI School District is seeking a Part Time Nutrition Services staff member. Responsibilities include food preparation, serving meals, cleaning and sanitation, cashiering, and inventory tasks in the school kitchen and cafeteria.

The role requires knowledge of food sanitation, teamwork, and a pleasant attitude toward students and staff. It is a 177-day, nonexempt position with on-site duties.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of food preparation and sanitation.
• Ability to read, write, and follow instructions.
• Be flexible with duties and speed of work.
• Equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Pleasant attitude toward students, faculty, vendors and the public.

Responsibilities

• Prepares food items according to the district menu, following recipes and portions.
• Serves food to students using correct portion control utensils.
• Keeps kitchen and dishes clean; performs housekeeping duties and cleans facilities.
• Performs special cleaning tasks in refrigerators, freezers, tables, and stoves.
• Prepares plates/trays for serving, takes lunch counts, refills stocks, places orders.
• Assists at department meetings and with catered events as required.
• Cashier duties: inputs customers in SIS, handles cash, and assists with deposits.
• Other duties as assigned by Kitchen Manager or Nutrition and Food Service Director.
