Qualifications

• School lunch experience desirable.
• Any food service experience is a plus.
• Knowledge of basic food preparation methods.
• Ability to maintain equipment and supplies safely.
• Good written and oral communications skills.
• Good organizational skills.
• Ability to make independent decisions responsibly.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and serve nutritionally balanced meals for the children.
• Adhere to ingredients, measurements and cooking methods as stated on recipes.
• Ensure that food supplies are securely stored.
• Wear proper cooking attire (apron, hat, gloves, etc.).
• Assist the Kitchen Manager with ordering food and supplies.
• Learn the POS system and depositing money.
• Clean kitchen areas after each meal is served.
• May be asked to work in another kitchen for the school district.
