Job summary

Ozark School District is seeking a Substitute Cook in the Food Service department to prepare and serve nutritious meals for children, following standard recipes and ensuring proper portion control.

You will maintain clean and sanitary kitchen areas, assist with ordering food and supplies, learn the district POS system, and may work in other school kitchens as needed. School lunch experience is desirable.

• Any food service experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and serve attractively balanced meals for children.
• Adhere to ingredients, measurements and cooking methods per recipes.
• Ensure food supplies are securely stored.
• Maintain proper cooking attire and cleanliness in kitchen areas.
• Assist with ordering food and supplies as needed.
• Learn the POS system and depositing money.
• Be adaptable to changes in duties; may work in other kitchens.
