Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of food service experience.
• Must complete training for beginning school food service personnel.
• Annual recertification required.
• Able to understand oral and written directions.
• Ability to work closely with others.
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and equipment in food preparation.
• Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions in food prep.

Responsibilities

• Assists in preparation and serving of food.
• Operates dishwasher and other equipment.
• Assists in setting up steam tables for food service.
• Works on the food serving line.
• Attends at least six hours of annual continuing education/training.
• Performs other duties pertaining to the cafeteria as assigned.
