You will deliver clinical care including routine, special needs, and emergency first aid, while maintaining accurate health records and documenting services rendered.

The role involves collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, contributing to health education efforts and ensuring compliance with policies at the school and district level.

Qualifications

• BSN required or must be obtained within 5 years of hire.
• RN licensure required.
• BLS certification required.
• 1–2 years healthcare experience; school/pediatric experience preferred.
• Experience in a multidisciplinary team preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides school health services as directed by department and contracts.
• Provides the clinical care necessary within the department, including routine, special needs, and emergency first aide.
• Maintains appropriate student health records and documents services rendered
• Participates in the educational efforts of the department and the hospital.
• Communicates effectively with management, parents/guardians, school authorities, and allied personnel.
• Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care for the physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of the patients served regardless of age.
• Demonstrates knowledge and compliance with departmental/school/State and Federal, and Human Resource policies, procedures and guidelines.
• Other duties as required.
