Qualifications

• BSN required or must be obtained within 5 years of hire.
• BLS certification is required. Registered Nurse licensure is required.
• 1–2 years of healthcare experience preferred; school setting and pediatric nursing preferred.
• Experience in a multidisciplinary team is preferred; MS Office proficiency required.

Responsibilities

• Provides school health services as directed by department and contracts.
• Provides clinical care within the department, including routine, special needs, and emergency first aid.
• Maintains student health records and documents services rendered.
• Participates in department and hospital educational efforts.
• Communicates with management, parents/guardians, school authorities, and allied personnel.
• Demonstrates care for physical, psychological, social, educational, and safety needs of patients.
• Complies with departmental/school/state/federal and HR policies.
• Performs other duties as required.
