Job summary
Genesee Intermediate School District (GISD) is seeking a School Nurse to coordinate and develop a comprehensive health program across assigned areas. You will communicate health needs of students to administrators, supervisors, and staff, ensuring timely, accurate documentation and care.
The role requires a Bachelor’s in Nursing with Michigan RN licensure and eligibility for a school nurse certificate; CPR is preferred.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing and Michigan RN license required; eligibility for a school nurse certificate.
- Experience in public health or school nursing preferred.
- Strong clinical nursing skills including medication administration, health monitoring, and emergency response.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and develop a health program in the assigned area.
- Communicate the health needs of students to administrators, supervisors, and staff.
- Coordinate the activities of a licensed practical nurse/nurse aide in the assigned area.
