Job summary

Red Rabbit is seeking a detail-oriented Food Service Coordinator to bridge the kitchen and school partners. You will help ensure meals are served on time, safely, and with accurate counts, while maintaining compliant records and allergy protocols.

You will support NSLP compliance, coordinate with the Compliance Team, and uphold food safety standards in a dynamic K–12 environment at our Bronx location.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in operational or administrative roles supporting cross-functional teams.
• 1+ year in a customer-facing role preferred.
• Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience maintaining accurate records and operational documentation.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis.
• Passion for improving nutrition in schools and social justice.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily meal service to ensure meals are accurately portioned and served on time.
• Coordinate meal staging and presentation to be visually appealing and organized.
• Maintain a clean, organized service line that provides students with a positive dining experience.
• Monitor daily operations and collaborate with the kitchen team to resolve same-day needs.
• Serve as liaison between kitchen staff and school partners, updating Head Chef and District Manager.
