Job summary

Red Rabbit is seeking a detail-oriented Food Service Coordinator to oversee daily meal service in a Brooklyn, NY school setting. You will coordinate portions, ensures compliance with NSLP, and maintain accurate records with our Compliance Team.

You will act as the main liaison between kitchen staff and school partners, ensuring timely updates and a positive dining experience for students, while upholding strict food safety standards and documentation practices.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years experience in operational or administrative roles supporting cross-functional teams
• 1+ year in a customer-facing role preferred
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational and administrative skills with attention to detail
• Experience maintaining accurate records and operational documentation

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily meal service to ensure meals are accurately portioned, compliant with program requirements, and served on time
• Coordinate meal staging and presentation to be visually appealing and organized
• Maintain a clean, organized service line delivering a positive dining experience for students
• Monitor daily operations, identify workflow issues, and collaborate with kitchen team to resolve needs
• Maintain accurate meal counts and records, support NSLP compliance and dietary accommodations
• Serve as liaison between kitchen team and school partners and keep Head Chef informed
