Job summary

Taher, Inc. is a family-owned, chef-driven school lunch management company seeking a Lead Foodservice Worker. In this role you will supervise kitchen staff, prepare and serve meals, and help maintain clean, safe environments in weekdays shifts in our school kitchens.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in a related role preferred.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Able to follow spoken and written directions.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Successfully pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and assigns work to the team and oversees completion of tasks
• Trains and guides staff on duties, food safety, and sanitation procedures, customer service, etc.
• Prepares and builds food items according to standardized recipes and directions
• Setting the team up for success by preparing the condiments and utensil areas
• Breaks down, cleans and sanitizes work stations
• Contributing to a positive work environment
• Demonstrating integrity, dependability, and punctuality
• Maintaining a professional appearance, positive attitude, and excellent guest service
• Following food safety requirements/guidelines
• Assists in daily paperwork, ordering and other related tasks
• Other tasks assigned by the leadership team
