Job summary

Taher, Inc. is a family-owned, chef-driven food service management company specializing in K-12 school lunch programs. We are seeking a Lead Foodservice Worker to join our team in a school kitchen, helping prepare, serve and clean up daily meals.

You will train staff, uphold food safety standards, and contribute to a positive work culture while ensuring nutritious, authentic meals reach students on weekdays. Expect guaranteed hours and a daily lunch, with uniforms and PPE provided.

Qualifications

• Previous supervisory experience in a related role preferred.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Ability to lift 30 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and assigns work to the team and oversees completion of tasks.
• Trains and guides staff on job duties, food safety, and sanitation procedures, customer service, etc.
• Prepares and builds food items according to standardized recipes and directions.
• Sets up condiments and utensil areas to set the team up for success.
• Breaks down, cleans and sanitizes work stations.
• Contributes to a positive work environment.
• Demonstrates integrity, dependability, and punctuality.
• Maintains a professional appearance, positive attitude, and excellent guest service.
• Follows food safety requirements/guidelines.
• Assists in daily paperwork, ordering and other related tasks.
• Other tasks assigned by leadership.
