Job summary

Douglas County School District is seeking a Kitchen Assistant at Legacy Point Elementary to assist in daily meal preparation, service, and sanitation. You may travel to multiple sites and help ensure meals meet HACCP standards and health regulations.

This role requires a High School diploma or equivalent, ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and strong customer service and teamwork. The position is part-time (0.50 FTE), roughly 20 hours per week, with a competitive hourly rate and full benefits.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow recipes and portion sizes.
• Familiarity with HACCP and health standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation, service and sale of meals.
• Prepare, wash, peel, cut and chop fruits, vegetables and meat.
• Set up and clean serving areas; maintain sanitation of work stations.
• Operate Point of Sale and reconcile monies daily.
• Build positive relationships with staff, students and parents.
