Douglas County School District's Northridge Elementary campus seeks a part-time Kitchen Assistant to support daily meal preparation, service, and safe food handling. You will follow recipes, maintain portion control, and assist with cleaning and sanitation.

The role requires physical stamina, ability to lift up to 40 lbs, and willingness to travel between sites. Benefits include health, vision, dental, and retirement options; 0.50 FTE and 20 hours per week with a start date as positions open.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation, service, and sale of meals ensuring compliance with regulations.
• Preparation of meals including washing, cleaning, peeling, cutting and chopping.
• Set up and cleanup of serving areas for timely service; dishwashing and sanitation.
• Follow HACCP standards; operate kitchen equipment safely.
• Serve meals daily and ensure proper cooking/holding temperatures.
• Unloading and proper storage of delivered items; assist with POS reconciliations.
• Travel between schools as needed; engage positively with community and staff.
