Job summary

Learning Care Group is seeking a Child Care Cook / Food Specialist to prepare meals and snacks for enrolled children in our schools. The role adapts to menu changes and ensures meals meet budget, state, and federal requirements.

You will follow the daily menu, maintain inventory, and assist in classrooms as needed. This is a Monday-Friday, full-time position with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking or food preparation for multiple individuals in a childcare facility.
• Willingness to learn and adhere to state/local regulations.
• Flexibility as to hours and schedule.

Responsibilities

• Create home-style, nutritional meals within menu and budget constraints and serve to children and staff.
• Follow daily menu incorporating USDA, licensing, and health department regulations.
• Maintain inventory of food and supplies and reorder as needed.
• Assist in classrooms as needed as an Assistant Teacher/Floater.
