Job summary

Joy of Learning Center in Kentucky is seeking a Cook to prepare breakfast, lunch and a snack for each classroom, handle meal planning, ordering, prep and cleanup, and ensure meals meet nutritional and regulatory guidelines.

Experience cooking in a fast-paced Early Education environment is preferred. Must be 18+, have a high school diploma or GED, and be comfortable around young students; duties may include assisting in a classroom during staff shortages.

Qualifications

• Experience cooking in a fast-paced or similar Early Education environment.
• Knowledge of allergies and regular substitutes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare breakfast, lunch and a snack for each classroom.
• Plan meals with age-appropriate foods and follow regulatory guidelines.
• Maintain sanitation and keep kitchen and storage areas clean and orderly.
• May assist in classroom or front office during staff shortages.
