Job summary

Harriet Rowley Elementary in Mount Vernon, WA is seeking a part-time Food Service Worker/Cashier to support the school lunch program. Under the supervision of the Head Cook and Food Service Supervisor, you will assist in food preparation and serving, and operate POS systems to record meals.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and a current food handlers permit, with the ability to work 3 hours per day during a 180-day schedule.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: previous experience with quantity food preparation and service.

Responsibilities

• Work as directed in the daily preparation and serving of meals in the school lunch program.
• Operate Food Service Cash registers, Point of Sale computers, and record meal participation using rosters.
• Assist in the clean up of preparation areas both before and after meal service.
• Performs such other duties as, from time to time, may be assigned.
