Job summary

Orting School District is seeking a substitute food service worker to assist in meal preparation, service, and cleanup for daily operations. You will cashier meals/snack bar and may prepare receipts, with responsibility for accurate cash handling.

Requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid food worker card, and ability to lift up to 50 lb. Background check and SafeSchools trainings are prerequisites.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license or reliable transportation.
• Previous school experience in quantity cooking preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb.
• Must hold WA State Food Worker Card.
• Fingerprinting and background check required.
• SafeSchools trainings compliance.”
• First aid and CPR certification may be required.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of duties in the preparation of, serving, transporting, and cleaning up after meals.

• May be required to prepare food service receipts.
