Job summary

Cherry Creek Schools is seeking a Kitchen Assistant Manager to help oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring nutritious meals for students in a clean, welcoming environment. You will assist with staff development and foster positive relations with school communities.

The role requires knowledge of HACCP and USDA guidelines, the ability to supervise staff in the Kitchen Manager's absence, and strong communication with the central office.

Qualifications

• Criminal background check and fingerprinting required.
• High School Equivalency (HSE) diploma or equivalent.
• One year of professional work experience.
• Proficient in the English language with the ability read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Must be ServSafe certified within first year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Completes all duties of Kitchen Assistant Manager while participating in customer service tasks.
• Delegates assignments to staff and ensures timely completion with food safety compliance.
• Ensures health department sanitation standards and HACCP compliance per USDA regulations.
• Supervises and directs food service workers in the absence of a Kitchen Manager.
• Submits orders, inventory, maintenance and production sheets to central office as required by USDA regulations.
• Attends required meetings, trainings, and professional development; follows directives.
• Understands revenue handling procedures and protects student information; assists in inventory management.
• Stays current with district communications and shares information with kitchen staff; flags issues confidentially.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
