Chartwells K-12, a Compass Group company, is hiring for a full-time Food Unit Lead in Munster, IN. The role oversees kitchen operations, ensures high-quality service, plans and trains staff, and upholds sanitation standards.

Location is Munster, IN, with a Monday–Friday schedule and hours that may vary. A previous kitchen management background is required. Eligible for a $250 sign-on bonus after 90 days and an $16.00–$21.00 per hour pay range.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in managing a kitchen staff is required.

Responsibilities

• Oversees and participates in the preparation and service of food and beverage items in accordance with company standards for presentation, sanitation, safety and portion control.
• Trains employees; assigns and coordinates work of employees to promote efficiency and excellence in food and service.
• Ensures timely, efficient meal service; supervises serving of meals.
• Develops sanitation schedule and ensures staff adhere to cleaning of kitchen and dining areas.
