Job summary

Compass Group USA, operating Chartwells K-12, is hiring a FOOD UNIT LEAD to supervise and coordinate food-service staff at a school dining facility in Liberty, Indiana (Union CCCJSD - 107 Layman Street). The role is full-time, Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 2:00 pm, with a pay range of $15.00 to $15.50 per hour.

The Food Unit Lead will oversee service and food preparation, ensure safety and sanitation, train and assign tasks, manage schedules, and maintain customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Food service experience required.
• Supervisory experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates activities of other food-service employees.
• Oversees and participates in the preparation and service of food and beverage items following company standards.
• Ensures timely, efficient meal service; supervises serving of meals.
• Trains employees; assigns and coordinates work to promote efficiency and excellence in food and service.
• Determines work procedures, prepares schedules and expedites workflow.
• Maintains proper cash handling per the Food Accounting Manual.
