Millard Public Schools Russell Middle School in Omaha, Nebraska, is hiring a Kitchen Helper for the 2026-2027 school year. This 10-month, part-time role runs roughly 5 hours per day (9:00am–2:00pm) and aligns with student schedules.

You will assist with meal prep, serving, and cleanup, maintain cleanliness, and may help as cashier. Requirements include a high school diploma and Food Handlers training within 30 days; prior school kitchen experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in high-volume food preparation and serving is desired. School kitchen experience is preferred.
• Required upon hire to take Food Handlers Class within 30 days of employment.
• Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff, students, and others.

Responsabilités

• Prepares meals, cooks and bakes, portions, and other duties as assigned (45%).
• Cleans equipment and maintains kitchen cleanliness (25%).
• Performs miscellaneous food service duties, may act as cashier for lunch (secondary), handles supplies.
• Serves prepared food to students (10%).
• Able to adapt to change and interact positively with students, staff, and supervisors.
