Job summary

Millard Public Schools is seeking a part-time Elementary Kitchen Helper for Reagan Elementary in Omaha, NE. The role runs 7:30am–2:00pm, Monday through Friday, about 10 months a year, with a 6-hour workday.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Experience in high-volume food preparation and serving is desired; school kitchen experience preferred.
• Food Handlers Class required within 30 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation, serving, and cleanup of food for students.
• Cook, bake, portion, and other food preparation duties as assigned.
• Clean and sanitize utensils, dishes, and equipment; perform general kitchen cleaning.
• Assist with cash handling for lunch; count money and manage supplies.
• Serve prepared food to students.
• Adapt quickly to changing tasks while maintaining productivity.
• Interact positively with students and staff.
