East Porter County School Corp. in Indiana is seeking a Food Service Assistant to prepare and serve breakfast, lunch and related items for students and staff. You will organize equipment, follow health and safety rules, and ensure meals meet reimbursable components.

Responsibilities include planning nutritious meals, stocking supplies, keeping the kitchen clean, handling charges and account balances, and assisting the Kitchen Manager in daily operations. 184 days/year schedule.

Qualifications

• General kitchen/cooking skills.

Responsabilités

• Plan and prepare nutritional and appealing lunches for students and staff.
• Stock shelves with commodities and supplies to ensure freshness.
• Keep the kitchen clean and bacteria-free per EPCSC Food Service Handbook.
• Make sure the student has proper components for a reimbursable meal.
• Properly charges students.
• Notifies student of account balance.
• Fill food service line.
• Serves proper component for reimbursable meal.
• Cleans serving line between service and end of day.
• Wash dishes as described in Safe Serve manual.
• All other duties as listed by job task in the EPCSC Food Service Handbook and/or the Kitchen Manager.
