Portage Township Schools Food Service is hiring a Food Service Assistant for the Fegely Intermediate location in Portage, Indiana. The role supports safe, efficient lunch service for students and staff, handling food prep, inventory, POS transactions, and sanitation practices.

The candidate will work 6 hours daily (7:45am-1:45pm) during the school year, adhere to safety standards, and participate in ongoing training. Starting immediately, employment supports a positive school lunch program.

• Willing to work hard.
• Have a thorough knowledge of School Food Service policies and program requirements.
• Sanitation training completed and Food Handler's Certification as per Indiana Health Code.

Responsabilidades

• Works with food preparation, production, planning, food ordering, inventory and record keeping.
• Collects money in correct amounts for lunch and ala carte sales with a working knowledge of our point of sale system. Can compute daily and monthly reports; operates a POS station.
