Job summary

Malden High School is hiring a full-time cafeteria cook to prepare and serve nutritious meals for students in a safe and healthful manner. The role requires ServSafe certification, English proficiency, and at least 1 year of professional food service experience.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Must complete all mandated training as necessary
• Ability to speak and read English in order to understand and perform job assignments
• 1 year professional food service experience preferred

Responsibilities

• Cook, prepare and serve food according to menus and in correct portion sizes as mandated by yield guides
• Perform cleaning duties, including sweeping and mopping of floors, cleaning of equipment and work areas, dishwashing and pot washing
• Set up hot and/or cold food area
• Comply with all state, Federal, local health department requirements for safe food handling
• Receive and properly stores supplies
• Take temperatures when receiving frozen/refrigerated foods
• Attend all mandatory in-service programs
• Must be available to substitute/fill in at any of our 7 locations
