Sodexo is hiring a Cook for VERDIGRIS SCHOOL DISTRICT 8 in Claremore, OK. You will prepare, portion, cook and present a variety of hot and cold items for meals and events in a fast-paced kitchen, following Sodexo culinary standards for quality and safety.

The role requires 0–2 years of related food service experience, a High School diploma or equivalent, and the ability to read and follow recipes unsupervised. We offer comprehensive benefits and a full-time schedule.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 0 to 2 years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of basic operation of equipment and food-handling procedures preferred.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Good working knowledge of food preparation.
• Requires familiarity of kitchen equipment.
• Must be able to read and follow a recipe unsupervised.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food in accordance with current applicable standards to ensure high-quality service.
• Follow basic recipes and product directions for preparation, seasoning, cooking, and serving.
• Taste products, estimate food requirements, check production, and keep records for planning.
• Significant walking or other mobility.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 35 pounds, occasionally 50.
• Perform repetitive motions and maintain a clean workstation.
• Attend scheduled shifts on time and support team needs.
