Job summary

Floyd County Schools is seeking a 7 hr. Cook/Baker at Floyd Central High School in Eastern, Kentucky. You will prepare, cook, bake and serve a variety of foods for a school population while keeping the kitchen clean and sanitary.

This full‑time position reports to the Director and follows district salary schedules. Qualified applicants have a high school diploma or GED; prior food service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; food service experience preferred.
• Ability to prepare, cook, bake and serve food in quantity.
• Must maintain clean and sanitary kitchen facilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepares a wide variety of baked goods and other food dishes.
• Determines appropriate food quantities for cooking and baking; adjusts recipes as needed.
• Monitors temperatures to ensure safety and quality; maintains sanitation.
• Serves meals and replenishes serving containers for faculty and students.
• Operates standard kitchen equipment and cleans as required.
• Performs related duties as assigned.
