Job summary

Danbury Public Schools is seeking a Technology/IT Maintenance Technician to provide site-based support for staff and students. You will set up new devices, assist with operations of classroom tech, and troubleshoot basic hardware and peripheral issues in school settings.

You will also help implement Gmail and Google Classroom across the district and assist staff with adopting standard applications. The role reports to the District's Director of Technology and is a full-time, on-site position.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• coursework/certification in Apple, Microsoft Office, Google, PowerSchool preferred.
• Minimum one year experience with personal computers or school/office tech.

Responsibilities

• Set up and personalize new computers or technology devices; assist staff and students.
• Assist with operation of projection systems, scanners and peripheral devices.
• Troubleshoot basic issues and generate Help Desk tickets for escalation.
• Act as school technology liaison for Gmail, Google Classroom and related platforms.
• Support district-wide technology initiatives and assist with classroom integration.
