Job summary

Danbury Public Schools CT seeks a tech support specialist to join a centrally supervised technology team. You will install and maintain computers and devices, support the network and software, and ensure reliable classroom technology across 20+ locations for 11,000 students and up to 1,500 staff.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; advanced degree in computer science preferred.
• Apple Certification or equivalent demonstrated job experience in technology repair required.
• Experience with educational software such as Google, Microsoft Office or similar.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, upgrade and maintain software and hardware for technology assets.
• Diagnose, repair and maintain technology via Help Desk tickets across the District.
• Assist in troubleshooting basic network and VOIP issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance on technology equipment.
• Provide advanced tech support to staff and students for classroom use.
• Maintain inventory records and document repair activities.
• Manage server-based information systems (SIS, E‑Mail, Library, Web).
