Job summary

New Hampton School is seeking a Network & Systems Administrator to oversee the administration, maintenance, security, and strategic development of the School’s technology infrastructure. You will manage the School’s network, server, virtualization, identity, and backup environments to provide reliable, secure, and scalable services supporting academics, residential life, and administration.

The position is full-time, year-round exempt with benefits per school policy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience administering enterprise network environments.
• Experience administering Windows Server environments.
• Experience with virtualization technologies and server infrastructure.
• Experience managing backup and disaster recovery systems.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Demonstrated ability to create and maintain technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer and maintain the School’s network infrastructure, including switching, wireless, routing, and related technologies.
• Administer physical and virtual server environments supporting academic, administrative, and residential systems.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, capacity, and availability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues in a timely manner.
• Coordinate infrastructure maintenance activities, upgrades, and technology refresh initiatives.
• Maintain infrastructure monitoring systems and operational health of critical technology services.
