Job summary

Middletown Public Schools is seeking a Network and Systems Administrator to maintain district technology, servers, and network infrastructure. The role includes hardware repair, software configuration, and collaboration with help desk staff to ensure reliable educational technology services.

The position requires a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent), several certifications, and 4+ years of related experience. On-site work, with competitive salary and reevaluated annually by the School Committee.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from four-year college or technical school preferred.
• Four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience; MCSE, CCNA, A+ Certification.
• Experience in Windows Network Environment with strong knowledge of network infrastructure and security.
• Thorough knowledge of operating environments and infrastructure; ability to learn new systems quickly.
• Excellent troubleshooting and project management skills; strong communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain district technology equipment, including hardware repair and software configuration.
• Assist Help Desk with planning, troubleshooting, repairs, and peripherals.
• Manage the district's wide area network.
• Perform backups of administrative servers and maintain servers.
• Assist with security planning on the network and daily monitoring of devices.
• Produce network management reports and keep the network plan updated.
• Collaborate with consultants and staff on network development and equipment specs.
