Job summary
Hampton University is seeking a Computer Technician/Network Administrator to manage client/server technologies and provide support for approximately 250 end-users. Responsibilities include systems administration, troubleshooting, and collaboration with faculty and staff to enhance the learning environment. Candidates should have 3+ years of experience with Windows and Mac systems, Windows Server administration, and possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Preferred certifications and strong communication skills are also valued.
Qualifications
Three or more years of supporting and troubleshooting Windows and Mac based clients.
Experience supporting locally and network attached printers.
Experience in Windows Server administration.
Responsibilities
Perform end-user computer system administration and maintenance.
Troubleshoot basic networking issues.
Assist in the design of training and marketing materials.
Collaborate with the Technology and Web Committee.
Manage Organizational Unit in Active Directory.
Support Learning Management System (Canvas).
Provide technical support to Pharmacy faculty, staff, and students.
Recommend and submit purchase requests for technology maintenance.
