Job summary

Hampton University is seeking a Computer Technician/Network Administrator to manage client/server technologies and provide support for approximately 250 end-users. Responsibilities include systems administration, troubleshooting, and collaboration with faculty and staff to enhance the learning environment. Candidates should have 3+ years of experience with Windows and Mac systems, Windows Server administration, and possess a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field. Preferred certifications and strong communication skills are also valued.

Qualifications

  • Three or more years of supporting and troubleshooting Windows and Mac based clients.
  • Experience supporting locally and network attached printers.
  • Experience in Windows Server administration.

Responsibilities

  • Perform end-user computer system administration and maintenance.
  • Troubleshoot basic networking issues.
  • Assist in the design of training and marketing materials.
  • Collaborate with the Technology and Web Committee.
  • Manage Organizational Unit in Active Directory.
  • Support Learning Management System (Canvas).
  • Provide technical support to Pharmacy faculty, staff, and students.
  • Recommend and submit purchase requests for technology maintenance.
