Job summary

Dallas Independent School District seeks an IT Support Technician to ensure smooth operation of technology in schools and district offices. Troubleshoot hardware and software, diagnose issues, and repair products to support students and staff.

You will assist campus-based technology users, escalate incidents to Tier II, train principals, teachers and staff, and support events with A/V equipment, software applications, and peripherals. A+ cert and IT support experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Accredited High School Diploma or equivalent and one year of IT support experience.
• A+ Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Operating Systems, Microsoft Office Suite and Office 365.
• Knowledge of Mac OS, IOS, Chrome OS and Google Applications for Education.

Responsibilities

• Support campus-based technology users.
• Escalate system disruptions to the appropriate Technology Tier II department.
• Train campus principals, teachers, and staff as required.
• Support special events at campus and district locations.
• Support computers, mobile devices, digital A/V equipment and peripherals.
• Support instructional software applications.
• Support quality control on vendor projects.
• Attend training and meetings as required.
• Follow attendance policy as assigned by supervisor.
• Perform other functions as assigned by Client Solution Department and/or supervisor.
• Follow all rules, regulations, and policies of DISD.
