Job summary

Interlochen Center for the Arts is seeking a qualified Health Care Provider to serve as a primary medical resource for approximately 600 students at the Interlochen Arts Academy. This full-time role supports the physical, emotional, and behavioral well-being of students within a residential arts community, collaborating with nursing, counseling, faculty, families, and community partners.

Qualifications

• Board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, Pediatrician, or Physician with appropriate licensure.
• Current Michigan licensure or ability to obtain before employment.
• Collaborative agreement with a physician licensed in Michigan.
• Minimum five years of clinical experience in primary care, pediatrics, urgent care, or school health.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary and urgent care services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, and follow-up.
• Coordinate care with families, primary care providers, specialists, and community partners.
• Maintain accurate EMR documentation and ensure follow-up on tests and referrals.
• Support communicable disease prevention and student health initiatives.
• Collaborate with nursing staff, counselors, and residential life to support student health.
