Job summary

CAPS Collaborative in Leominster, MA seeks a licensed school nurse to manage the school health program in accordance with state guidelines and district policies. The role includes student health assessments, screenings, immunization review, emergency care, CPR/First Aid instruction for staff, and coordination of health services with community providers, plus supporting IEP-related health reporting.

Qualifications

• Must hold MA Nursing license.
• Experience in school health settings is a plus.
• Ability to work with students, families and school staff.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate student health.
• Screenings – yearly, vision, hearing, scoliosis, height/weight.
• Review and update Immunization status.
• Collect and maintain Health Records per state law.
• Provide follow up for health problems.
• Visit program classrooms as needed for health checks.
• Coordinate Health Services with physicians, dentists and agencies.
• Promote health programs and trainings for staff and families.
• Provide emergency care and teach CPR/First Aid to staff.
• Attend IEP meetings and write Health Reports.
• Contribute to staff development and professional growth.
