Job summary

CAPS Collaborative seeks a dedicated school health professional to manage the school health program in alignment with state regulations. You will assess student health, coordinate screenings, maintain health records, and collaborate with physicians and community health partners to promote student well-being.

The role requires MA nursing licensure, strong clinical nursing skills in pediatrics, and the ability to respond to emergencies while supporting IEP processes and health reporting.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with current MA license required.
• Strong nursing assessment and pediatric health knowledge.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with students, families and school staff.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate student health and provide follow-up.
• Conduct annual screenings: vision, hearing, scoliosis, height/weight as appropriate.
• Review Immunization status and maintain health records per laws and policy.
• Coordinate with physicians, dentists and community health resources.
• Provide emergency care for injuries or illnesses and teach CPR/First Aid.
• Attend IEP meetings and write health reports when needed.
