Job summary

Boston Public Schools LifexDesign Academy is seeking a School Nurse to provide skilled nursing care and manage students' health needs. You will administer medications, conduct health screenings, and act as a liaison with families and medical providers to ensure health plans support individual education plans (IEPs).

The role involves teaching health topics, maintaining accurate health records, and participating in health-related staff training.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Nursing and MA RN license are required.
MA School Nurse License (All Levels) required.
CPR & First Aid Certification required.
US work authorization required by start date.
Experience working with children in public school settings preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide skilled nursing care and management of student health needs.
Administer and supervise medication for students.
Conduct health screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis, dental) and immunization surveillance.
Develop health plans for IEPs and liaise with families and medical facilities.
Maintain health records and relevant reporting formats.
Educate students on medical issues and conduct small group sessions.
