Job summary

CAPS Collaborative in Massachusetts is hiring a School Health Program Manager. You will oversee health services for CAPS students, ensuring compliance with state regulations and district policies.

The role requires MA Nursing licensure, strong nursing assessment and crisis response skills, and collaboration with physicians, families, and school staff to support student well-being. Applicants should be able to coordinate care plans, attend IEP meetings, and provide CPR/First Aid training.

Qualifications

• Excellent knowledge of nursing assessment and nursing diagnosis, pediatric health issues, and related nursing practices.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaison with students, families, staff and professionals.
• Ability to plan, direct, and supervise licensed personnel and non-professional health staff.
• Maintain professional boundaries and protect student/staff confidentiality.
• Commitment to ongoing professional growth and collaboration with the educational team.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate student health and health needs.
• Screenings yearly and as needed (vision, hearing, scoliosis, height/weight).
• Review and update Immunization status.
• Maintain Health Records per state law and school policy.
• Obtain records of physical and dental exams as recommended.
• Provide follow-up for students with health issues.
• Coordinate Health Services with community programs and resources.
• Promote prevention and health education through trainings and meetings.
• Attend IEP meetings and write Health Care Plans as needed.
• Provide emergency care and CPR/First Aid training for staff.
