Job summary

Tbsneedham is seeking a Food Services Coordinator to manage kitchen operations and internal food logistics for school and community programming. The role runs mid-August through mid-June, supporting events with inventory, labeling, and compliance with safety standards.

Responsibilities include maintaining kitchen spaces, coordinating with Facilities and Events teams, and ensuring timely, safe food preparation and distribution for programming schedules.

Qualifications

• Minimum of three years of professional experience in operations, logistics, or support-focused role.
• ServSafe certification and CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to manage inventory and logistics in a high-traffic environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills with diverse staff, volunteers and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in following and scaling instructions for food preparation and presentation.
• Proficiency with email, spreadsheets, and basic office software for inventory management, communication, and scheduling.
• High level of organizational detail and proactive problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and food safety protocols in kitchen/pantry areas.
• Deep-clean appliances and storage spaces and rotate stock; dispose of expired items.
• Coordinate equipment maintenance with Facilities; support regulatory inspections.
• Create and maintain a kitchen protocols manual with Events, Facilities, and Programming staff.
• Manage daily food logistics, reheating and distribution per programming schedules.
• Provide on-site support for large events; ensure food logistics run smoothly.
• Retain accurate inventory records; report materials needed; coordinate with K-12 Logistics for allergies.
• Plan weekly cooking activities with K-12 Logistics Coordinator; assist with deliveries and caterers.
• Prepare spaces for external groups; inspect post-event resets to organizational standards.
• Participate in ServSafe and CPR/First Aid trainings; learn Jewish dietary and holiday practices.
