Job summary

ABCD Head Start & Children's Services seeks a Health Services Assistant to maintain health and nutrition records and support two program locations in Boston. You will promote program mission to staff, families, and the community while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.

The role requires collaboration with Health and Nutrition Services Managers, program staff, and families, with responsibilities including record-keeping, consent processing, and administrative support.

Qualifications

• Maintains up-to-date health and nutrition records.
• Communicates mission to staff, families and the community.
• Mandated reporting of suspected child abuse/neglect as required by law.
• Supports two Head Start locations: Jamaica Plain and Allston Brighton.

Responsibilities

• Document results of screenings and assessments for Health and Nutrition Services Managers and parents.
• Coordinate, organize and share information to ensure accuracy of records.
• Assist families in seeking out health and nutrition consent forms for children in their caseload.
• Assist with administrative needs and participate in trainings and meetings as required.
