Job summary

Minneapolis Public Schools is seeking a Candidate Pool Food Service Coordinator II to support Citywide School Support operations. You will coordinate kitchen activities, lead staff, ensure compliance with state and federal nutrition standards, and manage meal production, ordering, and deposits.

The role requires attention to HACCP, records management, and strong communication with site managers, vendors, and program managers.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; AND two (2) years of experience as an MPS Food Service Worker; OR an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience as determined by Human Resources.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate operations of the Child Nutrition Program in MPS pre-pack school kitchens; provide leadership to staff and manage accounting and program compliance functions.
• Oversee salad bar food preparation and produce ordering; monitor inventory and equipment.
• Maintain production, purchasing, and financial records; process Free and Reduced Meal applications; deposit daily cash and checks.
