Job summary

Marblehead Public Schools seeks a Nutrition Operations Specialist to oversee the daily district nutrition program, supervise cafeteria staff, and maintain strict food safety standards while promoting healthy eating among students.

In collaboration with the Food Service Director, you will manage menus, procurement, SOPs, and staff training, while monitoring orders, inventory, HACCP compliance, and stakeholder engagement across sites.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nutrition, food service management, or related field (preferred).
• ServSafe Manager certified or certified within 3 months of hire.
• Certified member of SNA or certified within 6 months of hire.
• Knowledge of federal/state regulations related to school nutrition, food safety and sanitation.
• Previous experience in food service management, preferably in a school or institutional setting.
• Strong leadership, supervisory skills and ability to motivate a diverse team.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the district nutrition program, including menu planning, procurement, preparation and service.
• Design and implement standard operating procedures to ensure efficient operations.
• Monitor compliance with federal, state, and local nutrition and food safety regulations.
• Collaborate with administrators, staff and parents to address dietary needs of students.
• Train and supervise cafeteria staff and coordinate mandatory training and certifications.
• Coordinate with the Director to implement student engagement activities and tastings.
